I gave them one star out of five.

I bought a brand new Elantra in WI. When I shipped myself here to get married, I brought the Elantra, too. I ONLY knew of Tony Hyundai and of course, needed to maintain my car, so I went there.

As I had my car serviced, I enjoyed coffee, the TV, the surroundings and they didn’t mind that I brought work in while waiting. A couple of times I used the shuttle, but a few times, it seemed that the shuttle seemed to be somewhat negotiatle, not on a hard schedule. A few times.

I met one of their sales people and he’s fantastic. Due to this reivew, I will not mention his name. He did a great job of selling my wife and I a car for her. We LOVE our Tucson. My wife’s car had been giving her problems before the new purchase, she gladly offered to trade it in. At that point her Kia Rio (admittedly a tuna can) had around 40K miles on it. The body was not perfect and there was engine issues.

They offered her 500 ONLY for her trade. I understand we had the choice to accept or not, and we did. It still was a ripoff. Obviously we did not want to have to sell it on Craigs List, but I am sure that with a little work, Tony resold for it for at least 6k. (We learned our lesson.)

As I continued to come to Tony I felt that they only wanted my business if they could charge me at least 500 each time. Some of what I did WAS on Warranty, and that is one of the reasons I bought a Hyundai. However, alomst every time I received a printout of all the things they wanted to fix, and had to make decisions to go elsewhere to save money. Every time I did that, I saved money or found out that I did not need to have that work done. Except one time, I believe.

One time I towed the car in for some work and it happened to be on Employee Appreciation Day. I had to wait for hours, and they really did not want to fix it, it seemed. I had a real good idea what the problem was, but they kept ‘checking or testing’ or whatever. I had talks with the service person (lady) and then the Service Manager. Finally, I stopped a manager from one of the other Tony Brands and he was helpful. I finally got serviced, and the car was fixed ‘enough’ to drive back home to town.

The next day, I had to have another Service Person, at Kahala Shell take a look at my engine and he was surprised. He asked me who had worked on it and when I told him the dealer, he seemed concerned. He felt that the engine had been tampered with and even sabotaged. We finally got the car fixed, but I had lost my trust for Tony then.

As I accompanied my wife to get her Tucson serviced (oil change) last week, I asked the Service Dept. to quote a price to fix my transmission issue. I had gotten a diagnostic report from a friend who does service, (but was too busy to take it in.) The Parts Guy was a nice guy and gave me two engine diagrams showing me the exact part, or what he thought was the correct part. Shift Solenoid D was what the diagnostic had said.

The parts guy could not give me a quote.

I called back and was told that my car would NOT be under warranty. Gavin, I believe, quoted 585.00 for the labor. (I wonder how much they would have charged for the part.) My friend who did the diagnostic said another Transmission Shop would probably fix it for “between 400 and 600.” Knowing what I did I said no.

Today, I called another service guy, Eric at Auto Air & Associates, who DID have the time & room to do the work. He looked at it and thought that the car was under warranty. As I assured him that I was the original owner, he also told me that there was another Hyundai Dealer on the island. He took the time to read the warranty and double-checked. It was clear. It was under warranty.

As I called Hyundai Windward, Edison, in Service took care of me. He checked the warranty, twice and asked me for the 3rd time at least, whether I was the original owner. I assure him I was.

It IS under warranty. Now, there possibly could be more work once they get in there, BUT, if I had left it at Tony, I believe I would be out 1 thousand for starters. I believe they knew the warranty facts, based on previous experiences with them.

I owe Eric for his help obviously.

Tony has lost my service business, the next new car I buy or lease, the next new car my wife buys (or leases) and any after that. We LOVE Hyundai, but it takes more than a great saleperson to satsify my wife and I.

The challenge (with great rewards) is to say and actually mean those words and any that apply to your own situation. What are the options anyway? To wallow in pain, depression, storing bitterness in your heart and body? Then what?

Anyway, you certainly don’t have to ‘get it’ to be inspired by Thank God I…Triumph through Tragedy. I am a published author and I would appreciate it if you buy this book. My story is on page 187.

John Castagnini, the Editor says WE ALL SUFFER. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US. and also, YOU CANNOT BE HAPPY ALL THE TIME. The way we all choose to deal with issues, the more major the more important, is what the Thank God I lifestyle is all about. For more background, see Dr. John Demartini.

Attached is the Public Service Announcement that we need to get it out to the public in order to collect the data that VAERS fails to do. . Our problem is a lack of public awareness to contact us….hence, if we could get the word out virally, it would go a long way in serving our purpose of evidence based scientific statistics.
As long as VAERS fails to collect the correct statistics the CDC can continue to say the vaccine is safe for pregnant women. We have 68 anecdotal stories and 110 VAERS miscarriages.

Well, you’re right!!! or…..not.

I want you to know that I am serious about building a raw, whole food business into a huge organization in the next 4 months. It will be a lot of work, with a lot of help and a proven system, along with people finding ME in 3 different ways.

1. Belly to Belly. That’s me, (and you?) calling to make an appointment or invite someone to a meeting and doing that meeting to share the biz. A lot of people get this, but stick around.

2. I will, and yes I’ve done it before, I WILL call a ton of people all over the country to share this and get them to my website. You’re half way there, just open your eyes and check this site for the Links, or….stick around.

3. This good old internet. As I am learning it is OK and even cool to share via this gold mine of communication tool. I mean, how else would I connect with someone in the Philippines, or Ireland, or the Maritime Provences of Canadia (yes, I did that on purpose, have a sense of humor) all, while I was sleeping?

From American Cancer Society 2003 (and the book Born To Run-get it and read it) “compare lean and heavy people-heavier men and women are FAR more likely to die from at least 10 types of cancer.” Just sayin, is it time for YOU to address the weight or high cholesterol. Would it shock your system to put a raw whole food in it that gives you a high amount of Omega 3s??? Do your loved ones deserve the great product we have? Don’t we all deserve better heart health? I AM @hearthealthguy btw.

PS Mila, by Lifemax is having Hotel meetings all over, and I am calling to invite contacts to them. If interested, I can get you the info. Contact by email rickemmerich@gmail.com or phone 808 371-6501

“Cut fat-cut cancer risk…change your lifestyle and you can reduce your risk of cancer by 60% to 70%” Dr. Robert Weinberg.

And last, but certainly not least WHO wants to join me and make extra money in the next 4 months? Yes, that’s a lot and yes, it will take dedication, direction-following, commitment, early and late hours, and an investment. But if you DO this with me, do you think your life will change a little by the 4th of July? (like mine)

Will you be able to: buy more groceries, give more money to those you love that need it, tithe more (yeah), pay off all debt, get a better car, fill in the blank __________________.

Let’s do this….. Oh yeah, it’s Mila by Lifemax, Rick Emmerich 808 371-6501

I have told you all that I have lost weight and that I have started taking a whole food supplement called Mila by Lifemax. It’s this simple. I mix the powder, which is Chia seed using a proprietary processing method…..with water. It tastes kind of neutral and looks like it’s really good for you. Those of us old enough just know that medicine or something good for you (spinach and its vegetable cousins, for example) don’t taste like Kool Aid.

After a nice full glass I eat my meals. I usually get my morning dose, whether my wife puts it in the oatmeal or if I take it with water, as above. Most of the time, I get a second glass or have it in food, but noit all the time. This is why I am amazed at the weight loss. I had not started exercising intil the other day, and I therefore am expecting more loss.

So here is my favorite value meal these days. Please don’t think that I am encouraging ‘value meals’ but time and finances sometimes push me to the dollar menu. They love me at Drive-Through. I gave up making jokes there however, because so many don’t really speak English as their first language.

I get a McDouble with no pickles and no cheese. That cheese is something made in a lab, I believe. (I just don’t like pickles.) I then order the star, a side salad. The dressing is Paul Neuman which is pretty good and either just enough or sometimes a little too much. I splurge with a Parfait which has surprisingly tasty and attractive fruit on the botom and Vanilla Yogurt. It is just enough fruit to seem healthy and just sweet enough to allow me to bypass the dollar Chocolate sundae.

Now, you MAY be saying to yourself that they see old Dollar Menu Guy (me) driving down the street and specially make these items extra good. Or Not. I think that this is what they always serve. So, back to the Mila. For about 3 months now I have taken the product on average every day at least once. They recommend 2, as I do. I forget though.

I had lost 16 lbs from 223 to 207 about 2 yearts ago using an herbal tea rather regularly. In fact it made me more regular, cleansing the colon. I gave up the tea after it just became a hassle to do all the time. I managed to keep the weight off, good for me.

I had stopped drinking soda about 5 years ago after years of habitual Pepsi consumption. I really had issues going back 5 1/2 years ago when I had a heart attack. I cut back on red meat. I’ve been pretty good, eating better and moving to paradise (Hawaii) and now receiving acupuncture, regular Chiropractic and Energy Healing.

So to lose 9 MORE lbs when I really wasn’t trying was, well, “Now we got something.”

So Mila, by Lifemax is it. There are so many testimonials that are more powerful than mine, and studies, we GOT studies. Lots.

If you want more info, hit me up. Rick Emmerich http://rickemmerich.lifemax.net or to read more about me and some other, maybe MORE interesting subjects, go to http://rickemmerich.com

Whati is your Thank God experience? What can you add at the end of that little phrase that is real for you and you can share with the world? John Demarrtin ihas taken me through the Breakthrough Experience several times where we ‘confront’ and process situations in our lives that were challenging and that shaped our current situation.

Many are not pretty. Many of us became victims, and were quite ready to tell eveyone how bad the world was treating us. I could see and sense my impoending doom and ‘knew’ that my health was in danger 5 years ago. It took the heart attack to shock me into change. Now, I am not 100% where I want to be. I am a work in progress for sure. But lots has happened, and Lots CAN happen when we get disatisfied with where we have brought our lives.

Go from Victim to Victor. John’s books share his teachings and his magnificent and intense Breatkthrough Weekends may be coming to a metropolitan area near you.; He loves to come to Honolulu, but it’s not what you think, or what I had thoought. Since his mission or purpose it to travel the world speaking to as many as possible and to get paid handsomel;y for it, this guy never seems to enjoy the scenery when he’s here. It’s work work work.

But that’s his passion. What is yours? Or what would it be if you could do anything you wanted?

Thank God I is a community of like-minded people and authors, (not that we have any non-people authors.) Anyone can visit and I especially urge those who have the talent to write to share your experiences. Heck, you may even be a part of a book one of these days. John Castagnini, the founder of Thank God I (no relation to John Demartini has the passion to share this project and help empower others and enlighten thousands in the process.

Npw this is not the right place to give you an in-depth sudy of Dr. John’s techings, it’s much too small to do them justice. Nor have I devoted enough time to really tell about Thank God I, but you can research both, and I recommend that. John says a few things that I repeat often and here they are; “I am perfect the way I am” “Whoever I am and what ever I have done, I am worthy of love.” (I may have paraphrased that one.) “I do what I love, and I love what I do”

The idea is that we can stand up and scream “Thank God I” and then fill in the blank with that terrible thing that happened, the pain that we have had for years, or the situation tha was up-til now holding us back.

If you are intrigued, go to http://www.thankgodi.com/184.html In early 2010 Thank God I will have our 3rd book on the shelves and I expect to be one of the authors. Also some previews are at http://rickemmerich.com

Just sign up and the checks start rolling in.

The newest, best, most exotic, highest this or that value.

Make a check in one week.

We ALL have heard those, right? I’m no different, I get ‘em every week at least. For those that are serious network marketers, I guess, just get used to it. The newest next best thing comes out every 4 or 5 days, like clockwork.

There ARE ways to assess if you have a good thing going. Obviously, if you are getting fat checks every month, you know you are in the right place. I mean, I DON’T get in something only for the money, but the reason I feel, to be involved is to get rewarded for your efforts, and others’.

So, one of my bits of wisdom is to find a product/company that you love, and look at the pillars that form the foundation of the business. They should have a comp plan that allows the heavy hitters to make big bucks, but also, allows those starting up to get to levels easily enough to start drawing checks.

Hopefully, your product is high quality and is consumable. In other words, to paraphrase Richard DeVos of Amway fame: You use it and and use it up, it eventually goes down the plumbing and you need more. I would stress that it needs to be something the you CAN’T just go to Target and buy (for cheaper?)

Ideally you have what is called a categtory-creator and those are few and very far between. Often, it’s another juice, or a nutritional product that you will need to have faith in, until it starts working-or doesn’t.

Guess what then. You have to put some work into the process. I have been blessed enough to have the perfect upline in my business. He can’t wait to serve and work with my downline distributors. You then have to get on national calls, and have a mentor, or mentors.

I would like to impress upon you the necessity to get ready to work NOW, because for those networkers out there, the Week after Labor Day strats the most active recruiting time of the year. I can see September coming. (The product I promote has helped my farsightedness.)

It’s unbelievable here. It’s now 2 AM and I am typing this in my loft office as the breezes dominate the sounds outside, rather than the old H-1 and 16th Ave. noises my wife and I were used to. Around 11PM and sometimes midnight every night, it seemed there would be the extreme blasts of the fast cars or motorcycles on H-1. I figured it was the exact time of shift change for HPD.

Honolulu seems like a distant memory to me already.

None of that here. I guess the mansion next door has automatic sprinklers, cuz they just kicked in. My wife would think it was raining.

For those of you who don’t know Lanikai, stick around. When we were first offered the chance to stay here for a short while, I told Malia NO, and went over the list of reasons, so matter-of-factly, so logically. I was Ben Franklin, with the legal pad with the pros and the right and the cons on the left. By the way that method is over-rated, we all know we can manipulate the process.

Anyway, like many things, talking about Lanikai Beach, connected to Kailua Beach, is just NOT good enough. It has to be experienced. You could notice, some night in the area, how extravagant the moon and stars look through the tops of the palm trees, but chances are you’d miss it.

You could ‘luck out’ and catch a photo with the fading available light as the sun dips behind the mountain here. You know, it is more of a hill, but mountain sounds good, doesn’t it?

You may catch a nice picture of the Mokes, (the Mokulua Islands), but not really ‘get it.’

There is really nothing like the daily “hey, I’m on vacation” feel here. It is incredible to catch the various shades of shadowy light in the evening and snap as many ‘perfect’ pics as you want. And I can’t wait to catch another unique sunrise from behind the Mokes. In 3 more hours….ouch.

The beach is slowly eroding or disappearing….choose your word. Even knowing that, it remains one of God’s masterpieces. It is great to join the tourists on the beach and just chill. No one will bother you, and this whole area is filled with athletic or not-so-athletic types that are always jogging, swimming, boarding or paddling.

Our time here may be limited. If this is heaven, God, I DO want to stay here forever. Just wanted to get THAT out there. We are so blessed. Thank God I married wisely…..

Of course I will show pics soon. But give me a minute, we just got the computer set up today. So it’s me and the cats off to bed for now…………aloha

C’mon, it wasn’t flagrant. I spaced it. Honest uncle mistake. Chelsea doesn’t know, (I don’t think.) Heck, we’re both on Facebook, talk about uncle Rick being progressive, or is it regressing. I don’t know.

Since I enjoy writing. So I know I gotta read others’ stuff. I’ll just sweet talk her, and we’ll be cool again.

Not sure, though, she HAS over 600 friends, I think. What if she told them all how cruel her uncle is. I am going back to thinking she doesn’t know I didn’t read it.

And how does uncle Rick act cool with the neices and nephew anyhoo? I mean, Chelsea swore on her Facebook entry today, I guess she’s ‘in trouble’ Monday. That’s the edited version. I mean, should I say something? HELLO, she’s got like 600 friends.

That’s crazy. I haven’t met 600 people in my 51 years, and she’s got that many to say that she’s their friend. WOW. What if I said something to her about her swearing, she could tell 600 people how square her uncle is! Heck they probably say that word too. (I know, I know, I used to say that word, but I gave it up about 14 years ago, btw, I never typed it for 600+ people to see.)

I know, by the time I wake up tomorrow, she’ll have edited it, and moved on to another crisis.

Oh yeah, back to mom. You know I married the coolest lady in the world and she gives great gifts. Mom just got her Harry and David fruit basket from us, and I know we BOTH signed the card. It’s time to get back on her good side.

BTW, I DID read one of my mom’s books, actually two. She is a rather well-known children’s author, and her book, The Legend of Lady Ilena, by Patricia Malone is great. Order it from your local book store, and give it to a girl from the age of 10 to 16. I bet she’ll love it. See mom, I got your back.

Note to any of mom’s writing buddies that may read this. Come on, help me out here. Tell her to back off. I am good most of the time. Heck, my dark years are all in the rear-view year.

And besides, I gotta be on all of your good sides, I am part of a book that will come out next year. (Thank God I Have A Home Based Business) I’ll get to THAT later, but suffice to say that I will preview my chapter in the book here, so stay tuned….and Chelsea, just email me that thing to read. Uncle Rick
